Analysis of the complicated patients that died by dengue in the county of Camagüey

Abstract

Introduction: The Dengue is an illness auto limited that can present in its evolution alarm signs what indicates an toward the severe or serious dengue, and the death, what is very related with the immune potentiation.

Objective: Of making an analysis of the complicated patients that died by dengue in the county of Camagüey.

Methods: Was carried out a tranverse analytic study of all the dyed patient in the Unit of Intensive Therapy of the Teaching Hospital Amalia Simoni, in the county of Camagüey during the buds of the years 2011 at the 2018, where the demographic variable partner, symptoms complications and causes of death were studied.

Results: A high morbi- mortality was detected in the years 2011-12, 15 and 18, coinciding with the classic cycle of more serious buds every three years, where a high group you classify as severe, with arrival to the center around the critical days of the illness, what produced late revenues, and a lot of patients suffering of important complications that take to the death to 19 patients, where prevail the hypotension, the shock and the bleeding.

Conclusions: This investigation demonstrates that the cases of serious dengue in its great majority are due to an immune potentiation that its cycle is every three years, and the late admission in the critical period is an added difficulty in these patients.
